HTML5 vs Native Apps?

On reading the article posted on BI as This LINK

Although the HTML5 technology was done just few days ago, there’ll LOTS of stuffs for future development; and after all, this new technology is not quite mature for the commercial purposes.

Just think about the history of Open-systems and commercial ones on the battle of Operating Systems — Linux, Unix, Microsoft Windows, and MacOS. Which one takes over all the others? Therefore

I don’t think it will take over whatever. Facebook, Google, and those giants are not dummy at all.
