AI/ML/DL Aquatic creature recognition – Clownfish counting app

The cutest clownfish is used for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning applications to develop underwater biological image recognition technology.。

In 2023, The Solar Systems Limited, together with the Chinese Culture University and the Fisheries Experimental Institute of Taiwan’s Ministry of Agriculture, combined with aquatic fish farmers, will carry out a project development related to technology research and development of visual interaction and artificial intelligence applications. Among them, the algorithm designed by our company is applied By counting the number of fish in the water, this project can more completely present its substantial benefits.

Clownfish are extremely lively, and we selected this fish species to begin the development of our underwater biological identification technology. First, we use YOLO v8 for modeling and learning, and then use our own algorithm to identify and calculate the number of clownfish based on learning. This set of calculation technology is currently applying for a patent.

In July, we officially released the first apps on  Google Play and Apple iTunes App Store to count the clownfish under the water. You can easily point your phone at a fish tank or pond and count the number of clownfish swimming freely in the water within five seconds.
